พรพรสำฦต College will be celebrating everything Korean at this yearโs Korean Cultural Festival, Sept. 12, 2024, 11am to 3pm at Na`tsa`maht on the Lansdowne campus. The festival is a significant event at พรพรสำฦต, bringing together people of all backgrounds to celebrate Korean traditions, arts and cuisine.
โThis is a much-anticipated event for พรพรสำฦต every year,โ says Marius Langeland, Associate Director, International Partnerships and Projects, พรพรสำฦต International. โItโs an incredible opportunity for the community to experience just some of the incredible culture that Korea has to offer.โ
A popular event since 2016, with a pause during the Covid pandemic, the festival has served as a platform for cultural exchange and community connections. Guests can expect a day full of good food, crafts stations, Korean games, live music and performances.
The festival is a collaboration between พรพรสำฦตโs School of Arts and Science, พรพรสำฦต College Student Society and พรพรสำฦต International with contributions and sponsorship from a variety of partners such as Hallym University in South Korea (one of พรพรสำฦตโs longest standing Study Abroad partners for over 10 years), the Korean Cultural Centre in Ottawa, and the Korean Consulate of Vancouver. Food will be provided by Sushi Story.
พรพรสำฦต College has approximately 2,100 international students, including over 30 students from Korea, adding to the cultural diversity on campus and in the classroom. พรพรสำฦต also offers several Korean language courses at the level of introductory and intermediate.
