Lacey may not have known what she wanted to study when she came to college but with the opportunities and support she's found at พรพรสำฦต, she's launched her career as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist.
"I struggled in high school." As a child, Lacey was diagnosed with Epilepsy. โIt really impacted my mental health.โ By high school, she had lost interest in her academics and just focused on the gym, the field and the shop/tech wing of her school. โI came to พรพรสำฦต not really knowing what I wanted to do.โ
She originally came to พรพรสำฦต to play for theย Chargersย and enrolled in theย Civil Engineering Access program, offering insights into all the engineering disciplines.ย
โWhen we touredย พรพรสำฦต Innovatesย as part of ourย Mechanical Engineeringย section, I was hooked,โ says Lacey. โI switched programs a week later.โ
โThere are so many people at พรพรสำฦต that want you to succeed.โ
She attributes her success to the support she received from her instructors and peers. She received support from พรพรสำฦตโsย Centre for Accessible Learningย to help her with the effects of her Epilepsy. โIt was a relieving support,โ says Lacey.
