"I struggled in high school." As a child, Lacey was diagnosed with Epilepsy. โ€œIt really impacted my mental health.โ€ By high school, she had lost interest in her academics and just focused on the gym, the field and the shop/tech wing of her school. โ€œI came to พรพรสำฦต not really knowing what I wanted to do.โ€

She originally came to พรพรสำฦต to play for theย Chargersย and enrolled in theย Civil Engineering Access program, offering insights into all the engineering disciplines.ย

โ€œWhen we touredย พรพรสำฦต Innovatesย as part of ourย Mechanical Engineeringย section, I was hooked,โ€ says Lacey. โ€œI switched programs a week later.โ€

โ€œThere are so many people at พรพรสำฦต that want you to succeed.โ€

She attributes her success to the support she received from her instructors and peers. She received support from พรพรสำฦตโ€™sย Centre for Accessible Learningย to help her with the effects of her Epilepsy. โ€œIt was a relieving support,โ€ says Lacey.
