This award celebrates students determination and commitment to their trade.
Criteria
Criteria
The beneficiaries of this gift are students of Indigenous ancestry who have studied in a þƵ College trades program within the 12 months. The award celebrates students determination and commitment to their trade. In addition to the common criteria, please submit a letter outlining your commitments to the trade you are studying, and the barriers or challenges you have faced in enrolling or staying in your program, a letter from an instructor, student support provider, or work supervisor attesting to the your commitment to the trade you are studying, and an interest in or engagement with your Indigenous identity
You must:
- be currently registered or was registered within the 12 months leading up to the March awards ceremony as a student at þƵ College in a trades program
- have Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
- have a GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
- submit a letter written by the student outlining their commitments to the trade they are studying, and the barriers or challenges they have faced in enrolling or staying in their program
- submit a letter from an instructor, student support provider, or work supervisor attesting to the your commitment to the trade you are studying, and an interest in or engagement with your Indigenous identity
- complete the application form

You can apply for more than one award using the for each application deadline date.
Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday.
