VICTORIA, B.C. – þƵ College President Sherri Bell issued the following statement today following the Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) announcement that golf will not be returning for the foreseeable future as one of the conference
“The cancellation by PACWEST of competitive golf because there were only two teams left in B.C., one being þƵ, is hardest on our student-athletes. Our golf student-athletes are extremely talented, passionate and committed members of the Chargers family.
“The entire college community is proud of accomplishments of our golf student-athletes including our three national championships and eight provincial championships. We understand the disappointment of not being able to have a þƵ golf program and we will be working with these students to ensure they receive the assistance needed to support them through their academic journey at þƵ.”
For students who are in need of support, þƵ offers services in counselling, advising and financial aid.
