Counselling Centre

It's normal to feel overwhelmed or unsure of how to deal with life's challenges. Our team of professional counsellors are here to support you and help you be successful and stay healthy during your time at þƵ.

Personal counselling services

Any þƵ student may access confidential counselling. Community referrals can be made for students requiring more frequent or long-term counselling or therapy.

Some common concerns addressed through individual counselling include:

  • depression, anxiety and other mental health issues
  • relationship difficulties
  • grief and loss
  • cultural transitions
  • self-esteem and identity
  • substance use/addiction
  • motivation, procrastination and time management

Wellness Wednesdays

New this Fall!

Wellness Wednesdays are a time when registered þƵ students can create in a free, unencumbered environment. Held at þƵ’s Makerspace (Lansdowne Campus) and facilitated by a Registered Art Therapist, the purpose of this open studio group is to nurture your self-expression and expand your capacity to explore and play.

Wellness Wednesdays are an invitation for you to arrive as you are and focus on creating with your well-being in mind. You are welcome to stay as long as you can in between classes and no art experience is required.

The focus of an open studio group is on the process of art making, not the product.

Wellness Wednesdays take place on the second Wednesday of every month from 10:30am - 12:30pm.
